What You Can Expect Join Zoom's People Analytics team and help shape how data informs decisions about our most important asset, our people. In this role, you will architect and maintain the data infrastructure that powers workforce insights for Zoom's People Experience organization, turning raw HR data into reliable, analytics-ready datasets. You will collaborate closely with analysts and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, pipeline reliability, and scalable solutions that keep pace with a growing, dynamic organization. About the Team
Zoom's People Analytics team sits within the IT organization and partners across the People Experience (PX) function to deliver data-driven insights on workforce trends, talent acquisition, and organizational health. The team combines deep technical expertise with a genuine commitment to using data to drive meaningful outcomes for Zoom's global workforce.
Responsibilities
Design and implement robust ETL pipelines to integrate data from multiple HR systems and sources
Develop optimized data models and schemas that support analytics and reporting requirements
Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure to enable people analytics initiatives
Manage Airflow workflows for pipeline orchestration and dbt models for data transformation
Create and optimize complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting
Implement comprehensive data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure accuracy and reliability
Partner with analysts to transform raw data into actionable insights for business stakeholders
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in data engineering
Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis
2+ years of hands-on experience with both Airflow for pipeline orchestration and dbt for data transformation
Strong expertise in AWS data services and cloud infrastructure
Proven track record of translating complex business requirements into scalable, production-grade data solutions
Experience with HR data and people analytics metrics; familiarity with Workday, data visualization tools (such as Tableau or Power BI), or machine learning concepts is a plus
