Hours: 35 hrs Hybrid Working (3 days a week) Closing Date: Mon, 12 Oct 2026 Join our rapidly expanding Engineering team and help shape the future of data at Skipton. You’ll work alongside talented Data and Software Engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across Technology and the wider business to turn ambitious ideas into trusted, practical solutions.     As we continue our move from traditional on-premises infrastructure to a cloud-native data platform, you’ll have the opportunity to work with modern Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and dbt. Join our Technology team and you’ll discover that we’re constantly focused on real challenges as we build the tools that get things done for our members - quicker than you imagine.     We’re transforming the way data is used across Skipton, building a cloud-native Data Platform that provides trusted information and supports better decisions. Working collaboratively with Data Engineers, Analysts and colleagues across the Society, you’ll help design, develop and continuously improve scalable data solutions.   Design and develop secure, scalable Azure data solutions using technologies including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Key Vault and dbt.   Build and implement end-to-end ETL and ELT pipelines that transform data into trusted, accessible information.   Develop and optimise data models using established approaches such as star schema, snowflake and data vault.   Maintain and improve our Enterprise Data Warehouse, ensuring performance, reliability and data quality.   Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver valuable solutions.   Contribute to Agile delivery through incremental enhancements, testing, code reviews, release management and CI/CD practices.   Identify process improvements, share new ideas and mentor colleagues to strengthen capability across the team.     We work in a hybrid way, balancing flexibility with collaboration.
