Deputy Manager- Procurement (Packing Material)

Department: Procurement (GDSO) Location: Ahmedabad Role:   Buyer Designation : Deputy Manager– Packaging Material Procurement Experience: 5-15 Years (Pharmaceutical Industry Preferred) Education: Any Graduate; MBA/Post Graduate in Supply Chain, Operations, or related discipline preferred Key Responsibilities Manage procurement of packaging materials for Domestic and Emerging Markets (EMB). Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and ensure effective communication. Coordinate vendor qualification activities, including sample procurement, documentation, audits, and quality agreements. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as PTC, CQA, IRA, and other stakeholders to support new product development and commercialization activities. Participate in regular review meetings and provide updates on material availability and procurement status. Ensure timely processing of invoices and GST-related compliance requirements. Convert Purchase Requisitions (PR) into Purchase Orders (PO) within defined timelines and facilitate timely vendor payments. Maintain procurement project trackers and prepare monthly MIS reports. Identify critical suppliers and implement risk mitigation plans to ensure uninterrupted supply and business continuity. Drive cost optimization initiatives by identifying saving opportunities and developing alternate vendor sources. Desired Candidate Profile Experience in packaging material procurement within the pharmaceutical industry. Strong negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder management skills. Good understanding of procurement processes, GST compliance, and supply chain operations. Proficient in MIS reporting and procurement tracking. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
