Role: Design Quality Engineer (Charger) Department: New Product Development Location: Bengaluru, India Experience: 3+ Years Your Team: You'll be working with New Product Development — a group that runs on coffee and an infectious passion for building products that have never been built before. Our Flexible Energy Stack consists of the e^pack (battery pack) and e^pump (charging station), which unlock 15-minute rapid charging. Our philosophy: Break. Believe. Build. What you’ll own: We are seeking a Design Quality Engineer to own design-stage quality for our charger product line, ensuring architectural and component-level decisions meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements before they reach manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong DFMEA experience, a solid grounding in power electronics, and comfort working directly with hardware design teams to catch issues early. What you’ll do: Design Quality & DFMEA Lead DFMEA for charger hardware and subsystems across development stages Review component selection and system architecture against specification intent Identify design-stage failure modes and drive mitigation with design teams Own design verification plan (DVP) definition for charger architecture Validation & Testing Define acceptance criteria and quality checkpoints for design validation testing Review test reports and coordinate closure of design-related non-conformances Support environmental, safety, and performance validation of charger hardware Failure Analysis & Field Feedback Analyze field and system-level issues traced to design or component decisions Author Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) documentation to support Service diagnosis post-launch Drive design improvements based on field failure trends Cross-functional Collaboration Interface with hardware, firmware, and process quality teams across the charger product lifecycle Participate in design reviews and gate reviews as the quality voice What you’ll bring: Education qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or related engineering field 3-6 years of experience in design quality or product development quality engineering Strong understanding of DFMEA, DVP&R, and design-for-reliability principles Working knowledge of power electronics and high/low voltage system fundamentals Comfortable reading and reviewing electrical schematics and component datasheets Preferred Experience (Good to Have): Prior experience in EV charging, power electronics, or automotive electronics products Exposure to fault tree analysis and service diagnostics documentation Familiarity with relevant EV charging standards (e.g. IEC 61851) What matters to us: Quality of work Structured problem-solving Dissatisfaction with mediocre work …
