The Arch Direct - Direct Purchase – Assistant Project Manager (DP-APM) will serve as a point of contact for regional stakeholders, including Regional Directors, Project Executives, Purchasing, Estimating, Preconstruction Manager, Owners, OPMs, Developers, Architects, Engineers and Subcontractors. The DP-APM is responsible for oversight of Direct Purchase responsibilities. The DP-APM is responsible for individual project scope / packages full life cycle including early engagement, purchasing, recommendation, award, budget, cost, schedule, risk management, resource management, quality and safety while providing exceptional customer service. The DP-APM will oversee the implementation of a Raving Fans action plan and play a key role in business development including networking events, marketing initiatives, proposal preparation and interviews.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Representing and being primary point of contact for Arch Direct as required. Includes attending regional meetings as appropriate.
Overall management of package / Direct Purchase regional financials, including cost reporting, monthly requisitions, review and approval of invoices, ensuring timely completion, management of the requisition process to maintain cash flow throughout the project and address/communicate issues proactively and promptly.
Working with wider Arch Direct team to ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are updated and fit for purpose
Representing Arch Direct and wider Consigli business, in external events
Mentor & manage multiple Arch Direct – Project Engineers
Provide evaluation(s) of Arch Direct – Project Engineers on performance and identify training needs.
Conduct training and development of others.
Assist in preparation and present at interviews for project pursuits.
Involvement and early engagement in project preconstruction process
Take lead in the development and management of optimal project profit opportunities
Provision of initial Direct Purchase equipment budgetary and lead time information to project
Direct Purchase scope demarcation, constructability review and confirmation of final scope
With project team and legal, identification of project Owner flow-down requirements
Specific scope / package management including:
Direct Purchase Vendor identification
Request for Proposal (RFP) preparation and issuance
Request for Information (RFI) coordination
RFP response review and descoping sessions
Bid levelling, risk identification and mitigation proposals
Direct Purchase Recommendations
Material Purchase Order awards
Project & Vendor kick-off meetings
Submittal expediting, review, comment coordination and approval
Scope release and on-going expediting
