Distribution Coordinator
Catalent’s Philadelphia, Pennsylvania site serves as the company’s North American Center of Excellence for clinical supply packaging, delivering comprehensive, end‑to‑end support for global clinical trials across multiple therapeutic modalities. The site provides integrated services including direct comparator sourcing, blinding and manufacturing, primary and secondary packaging, storage and distribution, and clinical returns management, enabling efficient and compliant trial execution. It also plays a growing role in supporting biologic as well as cell and gene therapy programs, with enhanced cold‑chain and cryogenic handling capabilities designed to meet the complex requirements of advanced therapies. As a critical hub within Catalent’s global clinical supply network, the Philadelphia site helps sponsors accelerate development timelines while maintaining the highest standards of quality, flexibility, and regulatory compliance.
Our Philadelphia site is located in the Bensalem/Northeast Philadelphia area.
Position Summary
We have an opportunity for a Distribution Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate the processing, preparation, and dispatch of clinical trial materials to clinical sites while ensuring compliance with GxP standards, standard operating procedures, and customer-specific requirements. You will manage various order types, audit documentation, and maintain data integrity. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to resolving operational and shipment-related issues. This position also contributes to continuous process and documentation improvements.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm Location: Philadelphia, PA 100% Onsite
The Role
Anticipate and resolve distribution problems related to operations, systems, processes, and technology
Coordinate and dispatch shipments of clinical trial materials to clinical sites
Process orders and assemble folders generated both on-site and offshore
Support same-day, 24-hour, 48-hour, bulk, sample, and Just-in-Time order requests
Ensure 95% completion of work to floor the day before and meet shift processing expectations set by the supervisor
Collaborate with Distribution Project Coordinators to support issue resolution and solution development
All other duties as assigned
The Candidate
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED is required; Associate's Degree is preferred
Must have 2–4 years of relevant industry experience
Previous experience using ERP systems is required
Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills & Background
Experience with JD Edwards Enterprise Resource Planning system is preferred
At least 1 year of customer service experience in a current Good Manufacturing Practice regulated environment is preferred
