Distributor Lubrication Engineer

Optimal on behalf of its client,is seeking to recruit a Distributor Lubrication Engineer, based in Athens, to strengthen its technical and commercial presence in the industrial market. Job Summary This is a strongly field-oriented and customer-facing role . The successful candidate will spend the majority of his/her time visiting existing and prospective customers, working closely with maintenance, engineering and production teams to understand their operational challenges and develop value-added lubrication solutions. Main Responsibilities Regular field visits to industrial customers and prospects. Conduct plant audits, lubrication surveys and equipment/application assessments. Identify technical needs and new business opportunities together with the Sales Team. Recommend products and technical solutions. Support product upgrades and competitive conversions. Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support. Manage used oil analysis, trials and Proof of Performance projects. Quantify and document customer benefits, including maintenance savings, reduced downtime and improved equipment performance. Deliver technical presentations and customer training Requirements Degree in Mechanical, Marine or Chemical Engineering. At least 4 years of relevant experience in industrial, maintenance, reliability, or technical-commercial roles. Strong communication and presentation skills in Greek and English. Commercial awareness and ability to translate technical solutions into customer value. Extroverted, energetic, proactive and comfortable spending most of the working week in the field . Strong relationship-building skills and genuine interest in meeting customers and developing new opportunities. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Sales Team.
