Help Seattle homeowners get their drains flowing again and understand what comes next. As a Drain Technician at Bee's Plumbing, you'll diagnose drain and sewer concerns, clear lines and explain your findings in plain language. Your work helps customers make informed decisions about their homes, including when to bring in a Camera Technician for a main-line camera inspection.
How you do the job matters as much as getting the line flowing. That means protecting customers' homes, keeping your work area clean, communicating respectfully and working closely with the team to find the right next step. You'll work independently in the field, with coordination across Camera Technicians, Dispatch and the Sewer Supervisor.
What You'll Do
Meet with homeowners to understand their concerns, assess drain and sewer systems and diagnose problems.
Perform drain clearing safely and efficiently, completing quality work on time and in accordance with customer agreements and applicable local plumbing codes.
Explain what you've found, what you've cleared and what still needs investigation. Guide homeowners through next steps toward a permanent sewer-line repair.
Coordinate with Camera Technicians, Dispatch and the Sewer Supervisor to provide customer solutions and arrange further inspection when needed.
Protect yourself, company vehicles and equipment, and customers' homes. Follow safety procedures and report violations to the Sewer Supervisor.
Keep job sites clean and organized, and maintain clear, technically accurate written records of your work and findings.
Represent Bee's Plumbing professionally, with a customer-focused approach and polite, effective communication.
Work with managers and other departments, attend department meetings and assist with field coaching and installation-team performance evaluations as needed.
What You'll Bring
Thorough knowledge of sewer systems, including repair and installation practices and the standard tools, machinery and equipment used in the work.
Strong diagnostic and analytical skills to assess problems and explain practical next steps.
The ability to work independently with little supervision, manage your time efficiently and work effectively under pressure.
Clear verbal and written communication with homeowners, installation teams, Dispatch and management.
A commitment to safe work, customer care and following company policies, including setting that example for teammates.
