Location: Hybrid / Field-Based
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Travel: Travel to assigned Banana Moon nurseries, with mileage reimbursed in line with company policy
Banana Moon Day Nurseries is looking for an Early Years Training & Development Officer to create and deliver practical, engaging learning across our growing nursery network. You will work with Nursery Managers, franchisees and nursery teams to turn operational needs, Early Years best practice and compliance insights into learning that makes a difference. Delivery will be a blend of virtual training, group learning and onsite coaching, so you’ll need to be equally confident facilitating a session online and supporting a team within a nursery.
There will also be occasional travel to the Banana Moon Franchise Support Office in Warwick and, periodically, other locations across the network. Some overnight stays may be required.
Design and deliver engaging face-to-face, virtual and onsite training for nursery teams.
Turn identified development needs, compliance themes and operational trends into practical learning solutions.
Support the delivery and continued development of the Banana Moon Early Learning Development Programme, curriculum initiatives and future learning frameworks.
Lead induction and onboarding support for new Nursery Managers in partnership with franchisees.
Coach Nursery Managers and teams to strengthen capability, confidence and Early Years practice.
Develop practical training materials, guides, resources and learning tools.
Monitor participation and effectiveness and provide follow-up coaching where additional support is needed.
Partner with the Compliance team to address recurring development needs and support inspection readiness.
Stay current with EYFS requirements, regulatory expectations and adult learning best practice.
Requirements
L3 or above in an approved Early Years qualification
Strong current knowledge of Early Years Regulatory Expectations.
Experience delivering both face to face and virtual learning.
Confidence in coaching, mentoring and providing constructive feedback to nursery owners and managers.
Strong facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to translate complex information into practical easy to use learning.
Full UK Driving licence.
Long distance travel and monthly overnight stays.
Experience in leadership and management to develop structured learning programmes or supporting nursery improvement and inspection readiness.
Preference:
A recognised adult learning, teaching or training qualification, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), or equivalent.
