Nominal Hours of Appointment: 195 Duties: The duties and nominal hours for Education Instructors are established by the employer.  The nominal workload is normally made up of scheduled contact time with students as well as non-contact time. This includes but is not limited to preparation of lectures, class instruction, student consultation, marking and grading, and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty. Qualifications: 1. Doctoral Degree (PhD, EdD) in Educational Studies, Social Justice Education, Sociology of Education, Curriculum Studies, Critical Pedagogy, or a related discipline 2. Experience teaching gender and education or gender and schooling courses at the undergraduate level 3. Demonstrated expertise in gender and schooling, feminist pedagogies, and inclusive and anti-oppressive pedagogy 4. Teaching documentation: evidence of teaching competence at the undergraduate university level, official student and peer evaluations; teaching dossier; and/or references. Ability to work independently without immediate direct supervision.
