Electronics Engineer (Engineer or Lead Level)

Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an Electronics Engineer or Lead Electronics Engineer to join our Engineering team, where you'll support us in ensuring the ongoing integrity, performance and compliance of our products throughout their lifecycle. This role will be based at our Bishops Cleeve site. The Role: As an Electronics Engineer at Ontic, you'll provide engineering support across a diverse portfolio of aerospace products, supporting them throughout their lifecycle from New Product Introduction (NPI) through to in-service support and eventual retirement. Working closely with teams across the business, including Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Component Engineering, you'll help solve technical challenges and maintain product design integrity. Your work could include supporting engineering changes and redesign activities, investigating technical issues, evaluating alternative components, completing root cause investigations and helping to resolve component obsolescence and other supply chain challenges. You'll also have the opportunity to review schematic diagrams and technical data, support testing and design verification and validation, and produce technical documentation and reports. It's a varied role where you'll be able to apply your engineering judgement while continuing to develop your technical experience. We're also open to considering candidates at Lead Electronics Engineer level. To be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring: A degree or equivalent experience in Electronics Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Experience within an electronics design, manufacturing, technical support or product engineering environment; aerospace or another regulated industry would be advantageous. Experience in digital and/or analogue electronics design or evaluation, with the ability to interpret schematic diagrams and understand original design intent.
