Position Overview Prep Academy Tutors of Los Angeles is seeking qualified, dedicated, and compassionate Elementary Teachers and Tutors to provide personalized, one-on-one academic support to students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 throughout the Northern Los Angeles area. Our Northern Los Angeles division is committed to supporting families with exceptional, relationship-focused educational services. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one tutoring for elementary students (Kindergarten through Grade 6) Support students in reading, writing, mathematics, and other core elementary subjects Assist with homework, study skills, executive functioning, and foundational learning strategies Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs and goals Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to families Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment Travel to students' homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles area Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; teaching credential or advanced degree preferred Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or equivalent is highly preferred Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-aged students Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Reliable transportation Authorized to work in the United States What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Flexible scheduling based on your availability Ongoing professional support Meaningful, long-term relationships with students and families The opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' academic success Schedule & Availability Tutors create their own schedules based on availability and student demand.
