POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Registrar is responsible for all functions within the Registrar’s Office as it relates to academic scheduling, classroom management, curriculum management, the College’s academic calendar, as well as the College Catalog. In collaboration with other Assistant/Associate Registrars, this position will support the oversight of operations within the Registrar’s Office to ensure successful and efficient performance.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties specific to this position:
Provide excellent customer service to the constituents of the Registrar’s Office (i.e. students, families, faculty, staff, external agencies, etc.) regarding student records
Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Registrar’s Office as well as campus-wide planning related to long-term classroom utilization strategies and course offerings.
Oversees the full scheduling lifecycle, including development and publication of the course schedule, the final exam schedule, and year-round academic calendars ensuring accuracy, consistency, operational efficiency, and compliance with college, state, and federal academic policies and priorities.
Generates reports and provides data analysis of current and past semesters to department chairs and deans to aid in the creation of future course schedules, improve classroom utilization, and efficient registration cycles.
Allocate classrooms and lecture halls based on enrollment caps, technology needs, and department requests.
