Under the general direction of the Division Director of Roads, the Engineer - Senior Licensed Professional in the Structure Maintenance Section of Roads Maintenance Division is responsible for directing the engineering operations. This position will ensure the safety and longevity of bridges, pump stations, culverts and other structures in the Wayne County Roads system. The Senior Licensed Professional Engineer will perform complex structures operation decisions including determining if existing and proposed structure maintenance and construction projects are in compliance with Federal and State rules and regulations. This position will review plans, generate repair costs for county bridges, pump stations, attenuators and dams, calculate and update bridge load ratings and report to the MiBridge website, along with other related duties to ensure the efficient operations of the Structures Section, which includes Building Maintenance in the Roads Maintenance Division.
