Engineering Manager (Frontend)
Lead a frontend POD owning web and mobile (8–10 engineers)
Company: Valeo Health
Location: HSR Layout, Bengaluru — Work from Office (WFO only)
Reporting to: Head of Engineering / CTO
About Valeo Health
Valeo Health is a preventive healthcare and wellness platform operating across Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), offering diagnostics, teleconsultation, AI-driven health insights, supplements, and care programs. We are building AI-first, compliant, and scalable
healthcare platforms that handle sensitive health data while delivering reliable, high-quality customer experiences across geographies.
Role Overview
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a frontend-focused POD of 8–10 engineers responsible for building, scaling, and operating Valeo’s web and mobile experiences. Your POD owns both surfaces end to end — Next.js / React.js web platforms and React Native mobile apps —
partnering closely with Backend, Product, Design, and QA teams to ship reliable, accessible, multilanguage healthcare experiences across markets.
You will combine strong people leadership with hands-on technical depth in modern frontend, mobile, and cross-platform engineering practices.
The Mindset We Hire For
These three traits matter more than any specific technology on your CV. If they don’t describe you, this is not the right role.
• Ownership: You don’t escalate problems — you bring solutions. When something breaks in your POD’s surface, or in something a partner team depends on you for, you own it until it’s resolved, regardless of who wrote the code.
• Deliver Results: You measure your POD in outcomes shipped, not stand-ups attended. You can tell us what your team delivered last quarter, what changed for users or the business because of it, and what you would do differently.
• Quick to Learn: You’ve operated in domains, codebases, or organisational structures that were unfamiliar to you and got productive fast. Startup environments and ambiguous problem spaces don’t slow you down.
What We Expect from Our Engineering Managers
Own Delivery & Execution
• Own end-to-end delivery for web and mobile experiences through a POD model.
• Translate product requirements and design specs into clear technical execution plans for both web and mobile.
• Coordinate with Backend, Product, Design, and QA teams to ship full features — web, mobile, and supporting APIs — to users.
• Balance speed, quality, performance, and accessibility in day-to-day decisions.
Lead Teams Effectively
• Manage and mentor a team of 8–10 frontend engineers (web and mobile).
• Drive sprint planning, estimation, execution, and delivery predictability across both surfaces.
• Provide regular feedback, performance coaching, and career development support.
• Make hiring decisions and grow the team in line with business priorities.
Stay Technically Strong
• Review architecture, component design, and state…
