Relay is entering an exciting new chapter, and we're hiring an Engineering Manager, Growth to help shape our next stage of scale. You'll make high-impact, strategic decisions every day, with direct influence over a product used and loved by thousands of small businesses. Our Growth Engineering team owns the customer-facing journey from the moment a business registers, through the first time Relay delivers real value, and onward to building deeply engaged, retained customers. In this role, you'll join our product-led growth team to build the experiences that guide businesses through registration, activation, and monetization. You'll ship intuitive customer experiences, build rapid experimentation loops, and create the tools that help customers succeed faster. You'll work alongside a team that moves quickly, ships thoughtfully, and is constantly learning from customer feedback. What You'll Be Doing - Delivery Leadership: Lead the planning and delivery of engineering initiatives, ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and business goals; drive clarity in priorities and execution across the team - Team Operations: Establish and maintain effective engineering processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design reviews; continuously refine team rituals to enable high-quality, predictable delivery - Technical Strategy: Partner with senior leadership to shape and execute the technical vision, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer needs - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with user needs and business objectives; enable teams to solve complex problems and deliver impactful solutions - People Management & Development: Build and grow a high-performing engineering team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management - Culture & Growth: Foster a collaborative, feedback-driven environment that supports continuous learning and professional development; encourage mentorship and knowledge sharing while creating opportunities for team development Who You Are - You bring 5+ years of full-stack software development experience, ideally within a high-growth B2B SaaS or fintech environment, along with 1-3 years in a people management role - You have a strong technical foundation and a proven track record of shipping high-quality products; experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React, and AWS is a plus - You’re passionate about building and scaling engineering teams,…
