POSITION SUMMARY:          The Engineering Planner I is responsible for supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) planning, scheduling, and material coordination activities required to successfully design, build, and transfer products from Advanced Energy's global development centers into manufacturing. This role partners with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Management teams to ensure material availability, schedule alignment, and successful execution of project deliverables throughout the Product Development Process (PDP). The Engineering Planner I works under general supervision while developing expertise in planning, scheduling, ERP systems, and new product introduction processes. RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinates production plans for new products ensuring availability of material to meet project schedules. Supports achievement of on-time delivery goals by monitoring schedules and coordinating material availability. Works to resolve capacity, material constraints and other potential schedule interruptions Approves unit quantities, schedules and parts lists provided to the material control organization to ensure timely and complete ordering, as well as receipt and issuance of production material requirements Coordinates and implements NPI Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) in accordance with established processes.
