Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Dynamic Data System Engineer, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Air Force Base in Arnold, TN. Enterprise Dynamic Data System Engineer will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts. Job Summary An exciting career opportunity exists for a Mid-level ID&C engineer with primary responsibility for developing, custom configuring, upgrading and maintaining: Sensors and data acquisition systems for measuring various aspects of aerospace systems’ performance while undergoing ground testing at simulated flight conditions. Typical measurements include force, strain, pressure, temperature, vibration, acceleration, acoustics, etc. Facility and process control systems to measure and sustain test conditions Signal processing techniques of high bandwidth data sets ID&C Engineers employ the concepts of electronics; sensor selection and calibration; signal conditioning; analog-to-digital conversion; analog and digital signal processing; and data acquisition, storage and processing to design, implement, operate and/or maintain systems that acquire highly complex and accurate measurements required to characterize test article performance while undergoing ground test and evaluation. ID&C engineers also apply equations of motion and process control theory to custom configure and implement facility and process control systems required to control test conditions and processes Job Duties: ID&C Engineers at AEDC are critical to the execution of the test mission. Specifically, duties for this Mid-level position include: Perform work, generally within Instrumentation, Data, and Control System Engineering, which involves the preparation, interpretation or review of calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, surveys, structures, systems or equipment with relatively few complex features Participate in one or more of the following: Interface with DoD Client and external test customer to receive and document test peculiar ID&C System requirements Design, custom configuration, application and support of sensors and data acquisition and processing systems in preparation for and during active aerospace ground test operations.
