Become part of the new paradigm in gene sequencing and help shape the future of genomic study by joining the PacBio team.   The Sr. Genomics Sales Specialist is a customer-facing member of the commercial organization responsible for driving growth across PacBio's advanced sequencing portfolio through strategic technical selling, scientific leadership, and clinical market expertise. Working as an overlay partner to Territory Account Managers, the Genomics Sales Specialist develops and advances complex opportunities while serving as the technical expert for PacBio sequencing technologies and applications. The successful candidate combines deep knowledge of next-generation sequencing applications with experience supporting clinical laboratories and translational research organizations, helping customers evaluate and adopt PacBio solutions across both research and clinical workflows.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with Field Applications, Bioinformatics, Marketing, Product Management, and Service to remove technical barriers and improve customer success. Develop relationships with laboratory directors, molecular pathologists, geneticists, bioinformatics leaders, medical directors, and executive stakeholders. Support customers through technology evaluations, workflow discussions, assay planning, and implementation strategies. Develop technical sales strategies that accelerate customer adoption across research, translational, and clinical markets. Meet or exceed revenue targets from sale of PacBio instrumentation and consumables in the defined territory through the creation and closing of new business opportunities. Utilize a CRM system according to standard protocols for pipeline management and communicate with field and internal personnel around opportunity development. Represents the company professionally, scientifically, ethically, and morally at all times. Reads, understands, and communicates key findings from current scientific publications as well as technical information on PacBio products to the sales team and customers.
