Overview
OBS, LLC provides for the staffing needs of Cannascend Processing, LLC, an Ohio, family-owned, small business with a medical cannabis processing facility located in Wilmington, Ohio. The Company extracts the medicinal properties of the plant and produces manufactured products that are a tremendous benefit to people’s lives. The Company is currently seeking an Entry Level Extraction Technician to assist in all areas of production, post processing, and packaging of cannabis products, and assist with any local facility needs.
Responsibilities
Operate hydrocarbon, solventless, and post-processing equipment in accordance with SOPs
Ensure compliance and accuracy involving all product tracking, product security, and product delivery
Project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community
Embody the culture, values, and tenets of the Company and full support of our purpose, goal, and key objectives
Qualifications & Duties
Perform duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all governmental regulations for this industry
Carry out all procedures in an efficient manner that also complies with OSHA regulations, Company SOPs, and all applicable procedures
Maintain a positive attitude
Communicate well, in a professional manner, with employees and customers
May require weekend work on rare occasion
Prepare cannabis biomass for extraction
Monitor extraction parameters and production runs to ensure quality and consistency
Record batch information, production data, and inventory accurately using company tracking systems
Collect samples for quality assurance and compliance testing
Clean, sanitize, and maintain extraction equipment, glassware, tools, and work areas
Perform routine preventative maintenance and identify equipment issues
Follow all safety protocols related to hazardous materials, compressed gases, solvents, and laboratory operations
Maintain compliance with state cannabis regulations, GMP principles, and company quality standards
Assist with packaging, labeling, and inventory management as needed
Requirements
The work requires the physical and mental capacity to contribute daily to an often rigorous, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding cannabis processing facility
Strong interpersonal skills, able to work productively within a group environment
Ability to focus, stay on task, and continuously demonstrate attention to detail
Must be able to follow detailed instructions
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
The candidate must pass the state required background check through the FBI and the CJIS
Be 21 years of age or older • Reliable transportation is a must
Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods on a concrete floor
A willingness to follow specific rules and procedures without deviation
