ABOUT THE ROLE The Environmental Compliance Manager oversees the execution and compliance of environmental programs, permit execution, and risk management during the pre-construction, construction, and operations phases of a utility-scale portfolio of projects spanning solar and energy storage. You will oversee and ensure all environmental project deliverables are managed, implemented, and executed for full compliance. WHAT YOU'LL DO Liaise, as the Construction lead, by helping to coordinate environmental planning, permitting strategy, and environmental risk management activities across a portfolio of pre-construction and construction projects to ensure constructable and compliant projects. During the pre-construction phase, coordinate with Development and provide support for environmental workstreams to support project schedules, pre-construction objectives, and portfolio growth targets. Provide pre-construction and construction support to assist with environmental permitting strategies and approval pathways that optimize project success and reduce pre-construction risk. Provide leadership and oversight to internal Construction environmental colleagues and external environmental consultants during construction and operational phases of the projects. Develop environmental budgets, forecasts, and consultant scopes of work while managing environmental expenditures during the construction and operational phases of the projects. Build and maintain strategic relationships with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, permitting authorities, and environmental stakeholders during the construction and operational phases of the projects to ensure continued compliance. Advise construction and operation leadership on environmental risks, permitting challenges, regulatory risks, and project constructability considerations.
