The Estimating Technology Coordinator supports the governance, documentation, administration, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of estimating processes, technologies, data, and training. Working under the direction of the Estimating Services Director and in partnership with estimating leadership and related departments, this position maintains estimating databases and assemblies, coordinates process and system changes, validates data, develops reports and instructional resources, and supports adoption across the organization. The role serves as a process coordinator and data steward, helping ensure that approved estimating tools, standards, and information remain accurate, controlled, documented, and usable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Document and maintain approved estimating processes, procedures, standards, workflows, templates, checklists, and reference materials.
Coordinate process reviews with estimating leadership and affected departments; record decisions, responsibilities, dependencies, and implementation requirements.
Maintain version control, revision history, approvals, effective dates, and archival records for controlled estimating documents and tools.
Identify workflow gaps, duplicated effort, inconsistent practices, and improvement opportunities; develop recommendations for leadership review.
Research, configure, test, and document approved estimating and productivity technologies in accordance with company requirements and information-security standards.
Develop and maintain estimating assemblies, item databases, cost structures, templates, reports, and other controlled system content.
Coordinate requirements, testing, implementation, and support activities with estimating leadership, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, and software providers.
Develop test plans and user-acceptance criteria; document test results, defects, resolutions, approvals, and release readiness.
Coordinate pilot groups, release communications, training, and post-implementation support for approved changes.
Support structured data capture for estimating, purchasing, preconstruction, and related operations.
Develop and maintain data definitions, field requirements, naming conventions, validation rules, source documentation, and ownership records.
Perform routine data-quality reviews for completeness, accuracy, consistency, duplication, and reasonableness; document and coordinate correction of identified issues.
Maintain historical estimate, bid-result, labor-productivity, unit-cost, and market-information logs as assigned.
Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, presentations, and data extracts using approved sources and documented calculation methods.
Partner with estimating leadership and the Learning Management team to identify training needs and develop role-appropriate learning materials.
