The Opportunity
Join Markets and Securities Services Information Technology (IT) as Regional Head of electronic Trading (eTrading) Infrastructure Engineering in Toronto, Canada. This role owns the regional infrastructure engineering capability supporting latency-sensitive and collocated electronic trading platforms. You’ll manage two infrastructure engineers while staying hands-on across data center compute, Linux, server hardware, network switching, and exchange connectivity. You’ll take end-to-end accountability for the regional infrastructure delivery pipeline aligned to agreed business priorities, alongside operational service performance and the regional risk and control agenda. Success means resilient, secure, and cost-effective services, strong control outcomes, and well-governed delivery across collocated data centers and exchange-facing infrastructure.
What you'll be doing
Oversee and develop two infrastructure engineers, setting objectives, allocating work, and building succession and capability plans
Own the regional delivery pipeline and roadmap, translating business priorities into committed plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes while managing dependencies and trade-offs
Manage the regional infrastructure budget, forecasts, and investment cases, controlling capital and operating expenditure and supplier and hardware lifecycle decisions
Govern service availability, capacity, resilience, and support readiness, coordinating incident, problem, change, and recovery through to permanent remediation
Own the regional risk and control environment, including technology risk assessment, audit and regulatory actions, security and firmware compliance, evidence quality, and timely issue closure
Design, build, configure, and troubleshoot infrastructure across collocated and enterprise data centers including Linux platforms, physical servers, network switches, cabling, out-of-band management, and…
