We currently have an opening for Facilities Technician in our Dyco Electronics facility , located in Hornell, NY . This mid‑level role performs skilled general building maintenance, coordinates external vendors as needed, and supports facility operations to ensure the building remains safe, compliant, and functional.
The ideal candidate has experience performing building maintenance tasks and is capable of working independently.
Details of the Role:
The Facilities Technician II performs routine and preventive building maintenance, helps maintain facility infrastructure, coordinates vendor activities when required, and supports facility‑related safety programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general building maintenance, including light carpentry, minor electrical work, light plumbing, and basic repairs.
Conduct routine inspections of facility systems such as lighting, HVAC filters, restrooms, breakrooms, and emergency equipment.
Coordinate outside vendors or contractors for facility‑related repairs or services when required.
Support minor facility projects, office moves, workstation setups, and space rearrangements.
Assist with maintaining facility systems such as doors, locks, signage, and common‑area equipment.
Perform light groundskeeping tasks as needed (site‑dependent).
Assist with maintaining inspection logs, facility documentation, and compliance records.
Monitor cleanliness of facility areas and coordinate with cleaning staff or vendors as needed.
Support Safety/EHS with emergency preparedness, fire safety equipment checks, and facility walk‑throughs.
Identify facility improvement opportunities and report issues to Facilities leadership.
Perform other facility‑related tasks as assigned.
Qualifying Attributes and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
2–4 years of experience in general building or facility maintenance.
