Key Responsibilities The Microgrid Application Engineer is responsible for supporting the development, design, and deployment of microgrid and distributed energy solutions, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable energy integration, power conversion systems (PCS), and microgrid control platforms. This customer-facing role serves as the technical bridge between customers, sales, engineering, and project teams to develop optimized solutions that meet technical, operational, and commercial requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong power systems knowledge with application engineering and field support experience, helping drive projects from concept development through commissioning and operation. Develop and support customer-specific microgrid, BESS, and DER solutions for utility, commercial, industrial, and data center applications. Collaborate with sales teams on technical proposals, RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, customer presentations, and solution reviews. Perform system sizing, equipment selection, and application analysis for energy storage, renewable generation, and microgrid systems. Design and evaluate system architectures involving BESS, PCS/inverters, microgrid controllers, EMS/SCADA systems, and utility interconnections.
