As a Field Delivery Manager, Last Mile Operations at RXO, you will support and optimize home delivery operations across locations within assigned territory.
What your day-to-day will look like:
As the day-to-day field leader, you will work closely with independent contract carriers, client stakeholders, dispatch teams, and warehouse personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time deliveries.
Success in this role requires strong operational leadership, relationship building, and the ability to influence performance without direct authority.
Drive operational performance across multiple delivery sites and client locations.
Monitor key operational metrics including On-Time Delivery (OTD), Voice of Customer (VOC), Overall Satisfaction (OSAT), and service-level performance.
Conduct ride-behinds and field audits to evaluate safety, delivery quality, evaluate installation of appliances, customer experience, and compliance.
Coach independent contract carriers and delivery teams to improve performance and service execution.
Support daily loadouts, route planning, dispatch operations, and issue resolution.
Serve as the primary RXO representative for day-to-day client interactions and relationship management.
Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory to support field operations and maintain strong carrier and client relationships.
Identify future capacity needs and support carrier recruitment, onboarding, and network expansion initiatives.
At a minimum, you’ll need:
4+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, home delivery, or field operations. Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced operational environment.
Willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory.
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle in accordance with all applicable laws and company policies
It’d be great if you also have:
Experience in last-mile delivery, home delivery, transportation, retail fulfillment, or multi-site logistics operations.
Experience working with independent contractors, owner operators, or third-party service providers.
Familiarity with routing software, transportation management systems (TMS), and operational reporting tools.
