FIELD DTP OPERATOR
Location: Gauteng – South Rand Employment Type: Permanent Work Model: On-site
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Field DTP Operator to produce accurate, visually appealing and technically print-ready artwork in line with client briefs, brand specifications and production requirements.
The successful candidate will have strong DTP, layout and retail leaflet experience , together with a sound understanding of the printing industry. This role requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to identify potential print and production issues, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce accurate, high-quality artwork in accordance with client briefs and specifications.
Prepare artwork to ensure files are technically correct and print-ready.
Maintain a high standard of brand consistency and integrity across all artwork.
Produce and supply proofs within agreed turnaround times.
Interpret and action client and management requests accurately and efficiently.
Analyse artwork and identify potential technical or print-production issues before final output.
Communicate potential print problems to the relevant technical or repro team.
Ensure artwork meets required quality and production standards.
Maintain excellent customer service and respond professionally to client requirements.
Manage deadlines effectively while maintaining accuracy and quality.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Relevant tertiary qualification in Desktop Publishing (DTP) or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years' relevant experience in DTP design and/or layout .
Sound knowledge and understanding of the printing industry .
Retail leaflet layout experience .
Experience working on the Apple Mac platform .
Strong working knowledge of relevant DTP software packages .
