Virtual Youth Conservation Crew Member

Join us. Do work that matters! In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, MobilizeGreen will offer a Virtual Youth Conservation Program in the Summer of 2027 . Participants' daily schedules will blend virtual lessons and curriculum, with exploring Green STEM career opportunities, and hands on environmental projects. The Virtual YCP experience is unique and can create memories and friendships that last a lifetime! Participants receive a stipend of $250 per week. Term: 3 weeks; 5 hours a day, Monday through Friday.  (Hours depend on time zone) Program Dates: Cohort 1: June 14th - July 2nd, 2027 Cohort 2: July 5th - July 23rd, 2027  Some topics covered in the virtual program are as follows: Environmental resilience Fire-dependent ecology and management Wildfire mapping The intersection between humans and the environment Leave No Trace practices Career & Professional Development Community based environmental stewardship  Time management and self-care Leadership training Opportunities for service learning, mentorship, and hands on projects Benefits: Weekly stipend of $250 for participating Tech scholarships and equipment assistance (as needed)  Develop collaboration and leadership skills Work with other high school students from across the country Explore and learn to protect natural resources Green careers networking & exploration  Possibility of earning service learning hours Eligibility: We encourage all youth to consider applying for YCP positions. Must be at least 15 by June 1 of the program year and may not be older than 18 years old before August 31 of the program year Must be enrolled in high school or a 2027 graduate Must be able to fully commit to program dates and meeting times Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the assigned work with or without reasonable accommodations Have a valid U.S. Social Security number or have applied for a valid Social Security number by start of program Must be able to obtain a work permit if needed Must be a citizen of the United States or permanent resident For more information on MobilizeGreen go to:  www.mobilizegreen.org
