About the Role
Are you seeking an opportunity to work with Semiconductor manufacturing equipment? As a Field Service Engineer I, you will provide customer support for onsite installations, repairs and maintenance of photolithography semiconductor equipment primarily in Hillsboro Oregon. This is an entry level position where you will be trained to support Canon’s photolithography equipment (steppers and scanners). This is an exciting opportunity to be on the cutting edge of technology and join a dedicated team enabling new technology to improve processes in a pre-production environment. This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory.
Your Impact
NOTE: Position will work a compressed work week requiring flexibility to change work schedule as required, night shift is a possibility. Check and maintain equipment within factory standard specifications of system equipment. Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system equipment. Perform repair maintenance or unit replacement according to factory procedures independently and with others. Provide technical support to customers and respond to questions regarding operation procedures, equipment malfunctions, and other technical issues to minimize equipment down time and ensure positive customer relations. Identify and report equipment error and status updates related to equipment performance issues to aid in troubleshooting or maintenance. Maintain accurate documentation of activity and provide periodic reports. Work with other technicians in the field to troubleshoot and service equipment.

Please note: This is a customer-facing role, and requires compliance with customer policies and protocols, which may include COVID-19 vaccination and other measures relating to COVID-19. - HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required. AA OR BS degree in a related field is preferred, plus less than one year of related experience. (i.e. FSE or Technician position in a semiconductor equipment company or a technical position in the engineering field) - May require up to 25% travel (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record necessary). - Requires MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint proficiency - Position may require travel to other offices/customer sites within the US. Some overseas travel as needed. - Requires ability to work flexible shifts, including compressed shifts as needed to meet customer requirements. - Must be capable of working independently, prioritizing tasks effectively, and maintaining composure in high-pressure situations or when addressing customer demands. - This position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job and must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies. - Requires ability to lift up to 30 pounds individually and for lifting over 30 pounds assistance may be available. - Substantial amount of standing, walking, typing,…
