Job Description
Copeland is hiring a Field Service Specialist to support our Retail Solutions products, services, and commissioning services of new installation, retrofit, and existing sites. The Field Services Specialist is required to establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport and communications with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate.
This position is remote with up to 70% travel. The Field Services Specialist can reside anywhere in Canada, with a strong preference for individuals in Eastern Ontario, Quebec, The Maritimes, and British Columbia.
AS A FIELD SERVICES SPECIALIST, YOU WILL:
Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems
Communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Meet regularly with customers to become familiar with operating problems.
Keep customers informed on the nature of service provided, outstanding issues and recommends system enhancements, upgrades, and or replacement. Promote the sale of add-on work.
Manage assigned work to meet professional and efficient execution of time and customer satisfaction.
Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required.
Assist in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
Provide field change information to the project team for the creation of as-built drawings and software.
Keep current on safety bulletins and safety field change notices.
Operate in a safe manner in accordance with published safety guidelines.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Associate’s (AA) degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school (or equivalent working experience)
2+ years of experience with HVAC controls or building automation systems field including commissioning and start up.
