We are currently hiring a Financial Analyst Co-Op Student for the January to April term to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team based at our Head Office in Burnaby, reporting to the Assistant Manager, Finance.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to the financial analysis and reporting that inform business decisions and support BCAA’s strategic goals. Through coaching and mentorship from experienced Finance professionals, you will apply your classroom learning in real-world situations, build your FP&A knowledge and develop practical analytical and communication skills.

What you’ll do:
Partner with Senior Financial Analysts to interpret financial data and develop insights that support business decision-making.
Perform financial and strategic analysis, including actual-to-budget comparisons, KPI analysis and trend analysis.
Use financial systems and tools to extract, analyze and interpret data for reporting and analysis.
Support data validation and reconciliation activities to help ensure financial information is accurate and complete.
Present your work clearly and effectively through written analysis, formal presentations and day-to-day team discussions.
Contribute to process improvement, automation and efficiency initiatives, including the use of AI where appropriate .
Collaborate with Accounting, Finance Operations and other internal teams to gain exposure to end-to-end finance processes.
Complete other related tasks and projects as assigned.
What you bring:
Current enrolment in an undergraduate program with a concentration in commerce, business administration, finance or a related field.
