Position Summary
The Finance Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and delivery of financial information regarding company performance. The role develops forecasts and analyses for key financial indicators, including cash flow, sales, costs and inventory; prepares period-end reporting and contract-related financial documentation; and supports business-process review and improvement. The position works closely with Finance colleagues and cross-functional partners and requires strong knowledge of accounting transaction flows, sound analytical judgment and effective teamwork.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Compile period-end management reports, including financial statements, contract-profitability reports and cash forecasts; produce reports and schedules for the parent company; and verify the integrity of contract setup and reporting.
Complete source documentation for bank instruments, progress billings and progress-claim submissions in accordance with contractual obligations, ensuring that sales, government assistance and milestones are invoiced and associated costs are recorded.
Record monthly journal entries, including sales and cost accruals, depreciation and deferred-revenue adjustments, to support accurate and complete financial results.
Reconcile assigned general-ledger accounts and regularly review related subledgers and suspense accounts.
Submit monthly schedules to government agencies and external customers in accordance with contractual commitments and regulatory requirements.
Respond to ad hoc information requests and provide financial support to departments including Contracts, Operations and Engineering.
Participate in business-process reviews and improvement initiatives, special projects and cross-functional teams; identify risks and opportunities and recommend improvements to Finance policies, processes and routines.
Serve as a key contact and control point for company and government audits; assemble audit schedules and review schedules prepared by others for accuracy.
Interpret and verify contract-related source documents, including contract billings, letters of credit and other banking instruments.
