Mission of Role/Position Summary:
The Finance and Administration Section Chief (FC) is responsible for the execution and maintenance of documentation related to the purchase of equipment, services, and commodities by the State Emergency Response Team (SERT) to meet the response and recovery needs of the SERT and disaster survivors.
Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

Oversee the EOC Finance desk, supervising Purchasing, Fiscal, Travel, and Budget Units.
Develop staffing patterns to support SERT activities.
Track event costs with state finance offices and compile daily cost estimates.
Report mission costs to the SERT Chief and SCO, ensuring sufficient budget and federal funds.
Purchase necessary items for SERT and secure food vendor contracts for SEOC meals.
Monitor and document personnel overtime, updating request statuses and resolving issues with the SERT Chief.
Support SERT demobilization with financial closeouts, attend meetings, and ensure timely completion of the Situation Report and Incident Action Plan.
All other duties as assigned.

Capable of multi-tasking when necessary.
Strong familiarity with state and local governments is necessary.
