Your Responsibilities
As a Financial Reporting Accountant for JD Financial located in Johnston , IA , you will:
Support the preparation and review of monthly financial results, as well as quarterly and annual SEC filings ensuring complete, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
Assist with the review, maintenance, and communication of accounting policies, accounting bulletins, and related reporting guidance.
Support the assessment and implementation of new accounting and disclosure requirements, including researching accounting and reporting matters and preparing supporting documentation.
Support process improvements, internal control activities, and other initiatives that enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and quality of financial reporting.

What Skills You Need
3 or more years of accounting or audit experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP with the ability to apply that knowledge independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience preparing US GAAP audited financial statements
Experience at a global public accounting firm and/or public company
Financial services experience
Certified Public Accountant (active or inactive) license
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent related work experience
