Birmingham | Monday–Friday 8am-6pm (45 hour contract) | £31,473 We are looking for a confident, professional and proactive Front of House Host to join us at 5 Brindleyplace, Birmingham. This is a client-facing role in a prestigious commercial office environment, working closely with a high-profile corporate occupier. You will be the face of the building, responsible for delivering an exceptional front-of-house experience while supporting the wider facilities and day-to-day operation of the building. This is not simply a reception role. We’re looking for someone with a strong Facilities Management foundation who understands how a managed building should operate and is confident dealing with tenants, contractors, visitors and senior stakeholders. You’ll need to be resilient, self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership . As a largely standalone role, you won’t have someone beside you to provide an answer for every situation. We need someone who can use their judgement, solve problems, maintain high standards and know when to escalate. About the role: You'll be the welcoming face of 5 Brindley Place, providing a professional, friendly and proactive Front of House service while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the building. You'll be responsible for: Delivering a professional, welcoming front-of-house service, ensuring reception is always clean, organised and presentable. Answering calls and welcoming visitors to reception in a professional, friendly and efficient manner. Providing prompt, helpful and proactive support to visitors, tenants, contractors and colleagues. Liaising with management to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the building. Arranging and carrying out daily checks in conjunction with management. Carrying out daily inspections of internal and external entrances. Supporting cleaning standards and reporting any issues to management immediately. Ensuring landscaped areas are well maintained and reporting any issues to management immediately. Ensuring all health and safety checks are carried out as requested by management. Ensuring deliveries and contractors are properly recorded on site and effective access and egress control is maintained. Preventing, detecting and investigating offences on site, signs of intrusion and security concerns. Ensuring doors and gates are secure and unauthorised personnel do not enter restricted areas. Responding to emergency situations and liaising with emergency services where required. Testing fire alarm systems, including setting and disengaging the alarm panel, activating call points and responding promptly to alarm activations. Accurately reporting incidents and recording daily activities and irregularities. Logging and storing lost property in line with procedures.
