About the Hotel
Holiday Inn Express Blowing Rock South is a 118-room IHG hotel located in the heart of North Carolina's High Country, just one mile from downtown Blowing Rock. The property features complimentary Express Start breakfast, an outdoor pool, fitness center, free Wi-Fi and parking, and pet-friendly accommodations. Its location provides convenient access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian State University, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, and the area's popular ski and outdoor destinations.
What You'll Do
Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable a high-performing hotel team
Oversee day-to-day hotel operations while maintaining strong visibility throughout the property
Drive guest satisfaction, service excellence, and compliance with Opal and brand standards
Manage hotel financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, labor, operating expenses, profitability, and cost controls
Partner with Sales and Revenue Management to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, market share, and overall revenue performance
Recruit, develop, engage, and retain strong hotel leaders and associates
Monitor hotel performance, guest feedback, online reputation, and competitive market trends and implement action plans as needed
Ensure the property maintains appropriate safety, security, licensing, life-safety, and operational standards
Build strong relationships with guests, associates, business partners, and the local community
Foster a positive workplace culture centered on teamwork, accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For
3+ years of hotel experience with at least 2 years of hotel leadership or management experience preferred
Proven ability to lead hotel operations and achieve financial, guest satisfaction, and team performance goals
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor, operating expenses, and hotel performance metrics
Understanding of hotel revenue management, sales strategy, and key metrics including occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR
Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
A hands-on leadership style with the ability to remain visible and engaged with guests and associates
