Overview
We are seeking a LATAM-trained, fully bilingual (English/Spanish) Counsel to support our global Corporate Governance and Sustainability function. This role will focus on subsidiary governance and ESG/sustainability reporting across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with Legal, Finance, Risk, and Sustainability teams.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong legal judgment, project management skills, and the ability to manage global processes and regulatory requirements in a fast-evolving environment.
How you'll make an impact
Subsidiary Governance: Support the management and continuous improvement of the company’s global subsidiary governance framework, including governance processes, and documentation.
Sustainability Reporting: Support global ESG and sustainability reporting efforts, including tracking regulatory requirements (e.g., emissions, workforce, pay transparency disclosures).
Regulatory Tracker: Maintain and update a global sustainability regulatory tracker, including monitoring new regulations and supporting periodic updates and scoping exercises.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Legal, Finance, HR, Risk, and ESG teams to gather data and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Disclosure Controls: Identify and escalate gaps in disclosure controls and procedures that may impact reporting accuracy or completeness.
External Coordination: Interface with external advisors (e.g., auditors, consultants) on governance and sustainability reporting matters.
Documentation: Maintain clear, organized, and audit-ready documentation, templates, and trackers.
About you
Qualified lawyer.
4–7 years of experience in corporate law, corporate governance, compliance, or ESG/sustainability matters.
Fully bilingual (English/Spanish) – strong written and verbal communication required.
Experience supporting multinational organizations or cross-border operations.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
