About the job
Build your first real systems engineering experience on AI hardware you can measure, test and improve.
As a Systems Engineering Intern in Austin, you will contribute to projects across hardware, firmware and software engineering. You will help validate advanced AI compute platforms from subsystem behaviour to full system performance.
You will support CPU and high-speed input and output subsystem work, including lab testing, automation and data analysis. Your work will help engineers understand performance, power, signal behaviour and reliability.
You will gain hands-on experience with technologies such as PCIe 6.0, 800G Ethernet and high-performance cooling. You will own defined technical tasks with guidance, then document your methods, results and conclusions.
This internship is a chance to turn academic learning into practical engineering judgement on real AI hardware.
The team and culture
You will join systems engineers who work across hardware, firmware, software, mechanical and thermal teams. Work happens through lab measurement, script-driven validation, shared debugging and clear engineering notes.
You will be given defined problems to own, with guidance from engineers who expect curiosity and careful thinking. Decisions are made through data, reproducible results and open technical review.
The team values people who think big, act fast, take responsibility and speak up. As an intern, you will be encouraged to ask questions, test assumptions and build confidence.

Foundational understanding of computer architecture, digital systems, embedded systems or hardware-software interaction
Analytical problem-solving skills and interest in how hardware, firmware and software operate together
