Head of Supplier Performance and Capability
Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world’s aviation leaders. With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and continue to grow at pace.
Our team is looking for a Head of Supplier Performance and Capability to join them. This is a newly created position designed to support the development of a global process and approach for supplier management across Ontic. This position will have a remote work structure and must be based within an Ontic-approved registered state.
For remote consideration, candidates must currently reside in one of the following approved states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wyoming. Candidates located outside of these states will not be considered for a remote work structure at this time.
The Head of Supplier Performance and Capability will develop, deploy, and continuously improve the tools, methods, processes, and resources required to strengthen supplier performance, supply chain risk management, and supplier capacity and capability across Ontic’s global operating locations.
Working as part of the Global Supply Chain leadership team, this position will provide an enterprise-level capability that complements our site Supply Chain organizations and enables Ontic to address supplier performance and supply continuity challenges from a broader, more holistic perspective.
This role will establish greater consistency in supplier management practices, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of supplier-facing resources, and ensure resources are aligned to suppliers and business priorities based on risk, operational impact, and enterprise need. A key focus will be identifying and addressing chronic and repeat supplier performance issues while strengthening supplier capability, capacity, resilience, and readiness to support Ontic’s continued growth.
To be considered for the Head of Supplier Performance and Capability opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, or a related discipline. Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.
Significant progressive experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Supplier Management, Supplier Development, Operations, or Manufacturing.
Demonstrated experience managing complex supplier performance, delivery recovery, capacity, or supply continuity challenges.
