JOB SUMMARY
The Human Factors Intern will assist the Insights department staff with various projects and provide administrative support as needed .
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Technical Writing (20%)
Writing research protocols and presentations/reports
Copy editing protocols as needed for clarity and formatting
Utilizes the format for research study protocols
2.
Data Analysis (20%)
Look for trends, themes, and frequency of data
Reports on research study protocol data
3.
Administrative Support (60%)
Provides support as needed to all members of the Insights team as assigned
QUALIFICATION
Education/Experience
At least one year completed work towards bachelor’s degree in Human Factors or related engineering degree preferred
Open to Human Factors related majors such as Psychological Sciences as well with one year completed towards major.

Skills/Specialized Knowledge/Abilities
Good writing skills, with concise writing conveying clear thoughts
Proper use of grammar
Analytical and logical thinking
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
Understands human capabilities and limitations, both physical and cognitive
Organized, detail-oriented
WORKING CONDITIONS
Tools and Equipment Used
Computer, copier, phone, and other typical office equipment
Travel
Minimal: up to 10% of the time
Physical & Mental Demands
Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long period of time
Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
Light lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate to employees/clients via phone, computer or in person
Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move around the office environment
Ability to analyze unique situations and develop appropriate response
