Reporting to the HRBP Manager, Ventures, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) at Alarm.com will serve as a trusted partner to leaders and employees on a wide range of people-related matters. This remote position is based in Texas and will support HR initiatives, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness across several subsidiary companies within the Alarm.com family.
This role supports key areas including performance management, employee relations, talent development, leadership coaching, recruiting support, workforce planning, and compliance with applicable employment and OSHA requirements. The HRBP will play an important role in supporting a varied employee population throughout the full employee lifecycle and helping foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture as the company scales.
Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic HR partner by providing tailored guidance, coaching, and support to leaders and employees across the organization.
Build strong, trusted relationships throughout the organization to understand business priorities, team dynamics, and operational challenges.
Support organizational change initiatives by helping leaders and teams navigate transitions effectively and thoughtfully.
Provide HR expertise and guidance in areas including performance management, employee relations, talent development, leadership coaching, workforce planning, and OSHA-related compliance requirements.
Partner with leaders to promote and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
Proactively identify team and leadership development opportunities and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
Guide managers through employee relations matters with professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment.
Collaborate with Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation, HR Operations, and other cross-functional partners to deliver effective HR solutions and programs.
Support initiatives that strengthen company culture, employee experience, and alignment across teams.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
Perform additional HR-related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience in an HR Business Partner or employee-facing HR role.
Experience supporting multiple teams or business functions in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment preferred.
Knowledge of OSHA requirements and experience supporting workplace safety compliance initiatives preferred.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to influence and coach leaders at various levels of the organization.
Knowledge of core HR practices, including employee relations, performance management, talent development, organizational support, and employment compliance.
