Position Summary
The Industrial Engineer Intern will support process analysis, data-driven problem solving, and layout optimization projects within the North American Distribution Center (NADC). This internship provides exposure to applying industrial engineering principles in a high-volume distribution environment with an emphasis on efficiency, ergonomics, and continuous improvement. Interns will contribute to real improvement initiatives while gaining valuable technical and analytical experience.
Anticipated Start Date : January 2027
Anticipated End Date : April/May 2027
Location : Olive Branch, MS
Weekly Hours : 30 hours per week
Principal Responsibilities
Collect, analyze, and interpret time study, labor usage, and workflow data.
Assist in developing labor standards, productivity benchmarks, and capacity models.
Support warehouse layout and material flow projects (AutoCAD exposure a plus).
Contribute to Kaizen and Lean projects, helping reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Partner with supervisors and managers to trial and validate process changes.
Present a final project on an assigned operational improvement opportunity.
Education / Experience Requirements
Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills.
Interest in Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
Proficiency in Excel; exposure to AutoCAD, simulation tools, or WMS preferred.
