Industrial Fireproofing & Coatings Applicator

Lotus Group is recruiting on behalf of a growing, well-established polyurethane foam services and fire-protection company in the Regina, SK area. We are seeking an experienced Industrial Fireproofing & Coatings Applicator who is comfortable using airless spray equipment, caulking guns and fire-stopping materials . This hands-on construction role focuses on applying intumescent coatings and passive fire-protection systems to structural steel beams and other building components on commercial, residential and industrial projects. This is not a spray foam insulation position. Candidates should have experience in fireproofing, fire stopping, industrial painting, airless spray, protective coatings, or similar applications. What You'll Do Apply intumescent coatings and passive fire-protection/fire-stopping materials. Use airless spray equipment, caulking guns, rollers and brushes. Prepare surfaces through cleaning, masking, grinding and priming. Mix and apply products according to manufacturer and project specifications. Monitor coating thickness, temperature, humidity and substrate conditions. Set up, clean and maintain spray equipment, pumps, hoses and tools. Complete touch-ups, repairs and deficiency work. Work safely from scaffolding, ladders, scissor lifts and boom lifts. Maintain a clean, safe work area and collaborate with other trades. What We're Looking For Experience in one or more of the following: Industrial or commercial painting Airless spray application Intumescent or fireproofing coatings Fire stopping and caulking Protective or specialty coatings Structural steel coating Commercial or industrial construction Direct intumescent coating experience is an asset, but candidates with strong industrial painting or airless spray experience who are comfortable with caulking guns and fire-stopping materials are encouraged to apply. You should be safety conscious, dependable, detail oriented, physically capable and comfortable working at heights and on active construction sites. Occasional travel or out-of-town work may be required. A valid driver's license is required. WHMIS, fall protection, aerial lift, confined space and respirator fit testing are assets.
