DEPARTMENT: Molding REPORTS TO: Production Manager POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Industrial Manufacturing Technical Trainer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the technical proficiency and knowledge of employees across the Production organization. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs that address complex technical concepts and practical applications in Production environments. The trainer will ensure that all training materials are current, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals and industry standards for Industrial Manufacturing Production environments. By leveraging various instructional methods and technologies, the trainer will facilitate effective learning experiences both in-person and through virtual platforms. Ultimately, this role aims to empower Production staff with the skills and confidence needed to troubleshoot manufacturing technical issues and optimize the use of industrial manufacturing technology/equipment within their roles. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and deliver Production technical training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques including classroom, virtual, and hands-on training on the plant floor. Create and maintain detailed Production training documentation, manuals, and multimedia content to support learning objectives for production roles. Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to schedule, track, and report on training activities and learner progress. Collaborate with Production Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date with current technologies and best practices. Provide Production technical troubleshooting support during training sessions and assist learners in resolving technical challenges on machinery and equipment. Conduct assessments to evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Maintain compliance with information assurance policies and ensure training materials adhere to security standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety Responsibilities: Supports a culture where employees address unsafe conditions and behaviors, make suggestions for improvements, and actively participates in implementing solutions in the Production environment. Identifies safety gaps and self-initiates corrective actions Strictly adheres to plant safety, housekeeping, and 5S efforts Understands, identifies, and corrects safety hazards Drives a Production culture which empowers employees to understand and embrace what they own Food Safety Responsibilities: Monitors and verifies activities to ensure that finished goods and raw materials are coming in and out of the facility meet consumer safety and quality standards.
