Position Summary
Provides operational and administrative Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) support for Performance Fibers OEM LLC Coventry and Mansfield locations.
Principal Responsibilities
• Perform all tasks required by hazardous waste regulations, including inspections, waste storage, waste characterization, coordination, and preparation of hazardous waste for disposal and shipment to approved TSDFs. • Conduct sampling and review stormwater and wastewater monitoring reports to ensure compliance with applicable permits. • Lead site safety committees and support initiatives to promote a strong safety culture. • Update EHS programs, procedures, and policies as required to maintain regulatory compliance and operational effectiveness. • Maintain accurate chemical inventories and ensure compliance with applicable chemical management requirements. • Conduct routine audits of work areas to identify potential EHS hazards and recommend appropriate corrective actions. • Manage the site’s PEP program and ensure program requirements are effectively implemented and maintained. • Assist with incident investigations, identify root causes, and track corrective and preventive actions through completion. • Assist with EHS training for employees and contractors. • Compile sustainability data for both locations and complete reporting.
Education / Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience is preferable.
Minimum of 2 years of supporting environmental, health, and safety programs.
OSHA 30 Hour and DOT Hazardous Material training is preferable.
