Install Helper/ Assistant

Apply Job Type Full-time Description HVAC Install Helper – Advanced Air | Show Low, AZ While other shops slow down, we're building. Advanced Air is growing in the White Mountains, and we need an HVAC Install Helper to support our install crews. This is an installation role, not a service role. You'll work side by side with a Lead Installer on every job, assisting with equipment change-outs and new system installs from setup to start-up. It's a great fit if you have some install experience and want to keep building your skills under an experienced lead. What You'll Do Assist the Lead Installer on every phase of the install: removing old equipment, setting new equipment, running and sealing ductwork, and making connections Help install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and ductwork to code, to manufacturer specs, and to our install standards Assist with system start-up and testing to ensure proper operation, and complete and sign the Safety, Quality, and Assurance Report Complete and sign the Job Site Hazard Analysis Report (JHAR) before work begins, and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Deliver the experience the Comfort Advisor promised, and communicate with the customer before, during, and after the install Protect the customer's home from start to finish: lay down floor protection, stage tools and materials, haul out old equipment, and leave the home cleaner than you found it Help the Lead Installer walk the customer through their new system so they're confident running it on day one Complete pre-install, safety, and post-install checklists accurately Track work performed and materials used, and call the Project Management Team at job completion with any issues or restock needs Work with your crew and project managers to keep installs on schedule Stay current on industry standards, building codes, and licensing requirements Requirements What You Bring 1+ year of residential HVAC installer or install helper experience (required) EPA certification High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record Must be 18 years of age or older to apply Why Join Us We offer amazing benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) with company matching, 6 paid holidays, paid vacation, and great training.
