Whether partnering with IATA on industry-wide initiatives or enabling digital transformation to simplify airline processes, Accelya drives the airline industry forward and proudly puts control back in the hands of airlines so they can move further, faster.   As an Engineer II - Software Development at Accelya , you will independently deliver software features and service solutions, building scalable, reliable, and well-tested systems that support Accelya's 200+ airline customers worldwide . Duties & Responsibilities Design, develop, and deliver features supporting airline ticketing workflows, including issuance, voids, refunds, exchanges, and ancillary documents. Build and enhance cloud-native services and data pipelines on AWS for transaction processing and industry settlement reporting. Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems by transforming them into cloud-native architectures while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and feature parity through rigorous testing. Troubleshoot complex production issues end-to-end and lead root cause analysis with clear, evidence-based findings. Leverage AI-assisted development tools for code generation, investigation, solution design, code reviews, and test creation, while rigorously validating outputs. Required Experience & Skills 3+ years (Mid-level) or 6+ years (Senior-level) of professional software engineering experience. Hands-on experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS, including services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and serverless/event-driven architectures. Practical knowledge of AI and LLM-based development tools, with demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants effectively in software development. Strong expertise in C#/.NET for developing and maintaining production-grade services and APIs. Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases. Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and regression testing) and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of secure coding practices and handling sensitive data, including payment card and personal information. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to work US shift hours. Preferred Experience & Skills Working knowledge of C++ and/or Node.js/TypeScript . Experience in the airline, travel, payments, or financial transaction domains. Familiarity with airline industry standards and settlement processes, including IATA BSP , ARC , ATPCO , and IATA NDC . Experience with XML/XSD-based integrations and SOAP or REST APIs. Experience modernizing legacy applications or migrating workloads to the cloud. Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, Jira, and Confluence.
