Utility Technician
Fox Pest Control is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Utility Technician to deliver specialized pest-control and insulation services in our clients’ homes. In this hands-on role, you will use leading-edge products, provide a positive customer experience, and complete a variety of services, including insulation treatments, lower-level exclusions, mosquito control, bed bug treatments, termite services, and more. A Day in the Life of a Utility Technician
Each day begins with a team meeting to review schedules and gather the materials needed for upcoming jobs. You will travel to client properties, inspect for pest activity, recommend and apply appropriate treatments, and install or inspect insulation designed to improve energy efficiency and help keep pests out. Throughout the day, you will communicate clearly with clients and team members, complete final inspections, and leave each job site clean and orderly. You will wrap up by completing required documentation and participating in a team debrief to confirm that every service meets Fox Pest Control’s standards.
Qualifications
Essential Responsibilities
Provide professional, high-quality service in clients’ homes
Inspect properties, identify pest activity, and determine the appropriate treatment
Apply chemical solutions, powders, and granules on or near buildings and homes to eliminate pests, including specialized treatments
Install, repair, and maintain insulation systems
Follow all safety procedures for product application and re-entry
Use required personal protective equipment during service
Keep service vehicles clean, organized, professional, and compliant with all applicable regulations
Maintain a professional appearance, including a clean company uniform, appropriate footwear, and good personal hygiene
Build strong, positive relationships with clients and work to exceed their expectations
When appropriate, recommend steps clients can take to help prevent future pest problems
Participate fully in training to expand job knowledge and meet licensing requirements
Qualifications
At least one year of construction or insulation experience
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive client relationships
Ability to assess pest activity, explain findings, and carry out an effective plan of action
Ability to learn and follow service protocols for applying chemical solutions and powders
