Grow Your Career with Central Valley Ag
Your future in agriculture starts here.
Since 2011, the Central Valley Ag Internship Program has provided college students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience, explore careers in agriculture, and build relationships with professionals across the cooperative.
At CVA, our interns aren't here just to observe—they become part of the team. During our 10-week summer internship program , students gain hands-on experience, take on meaningful projects, develop professional skills, and discover where a career in agriculture can take them.
Our internship program is also an important part of building CVA's future. We want to get to know the next generation of agricultural leaders, help them grow, and create opportunities for talented interns to return to CVA as full-time employees after graduation .
More Than an Internship
Agriculture offers more career opportunities than you might think. Throughout the summer, CVA interns have opportunities to learn about different areas of the cooperative, connect with employees and leaders, and experience the many careers that keep agriculture moving.
Whether your interests are in agronomy, sales, operations, technology, livestock, energy, marketing, or precision agriculture, there's an opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow at CVA.
Agronomy
Take your classroom knowledge to the field. Agronomy interns work alongside experienced CVA team members while scouting fields, assisting with product and seed delivery, learning about crop production, exploring new agricultural technologies, and gaining exposure to both the sales and operational sides of a cooperative.
If you're interested in crops, working with producers, or seeing agriculture in action, this is an opportunity to get your boots in the field and learn firsthand.
Feed
Explore the livestock and feed industry while working alongside CVA's Feed Team. Interns gain exposure to feed sales, customer relationships, mill operations, and the business processes that support our feed division.
Through job shadowing and hands-on experiences at different locations, you'll see what it takes to serve livestock producers and build a career in the feed industry.
Energy
Help keep agriculture moving. CVA's Energy Internship provides experience in both Energy Sales and Operations across Nebraska, Iowa, and Kansas.
Interns may assist with testing tanks, servicing customers, learning about energy products, and experiencing the day-to-day work required to support producers and their operations.
Operations
Get hands-on experience with the work that keeps a cooperative running.
Operations interns experience a variety of roles within CVA's agronomy and grain businesses. From assisting with application and seed delivery to working around grain elevators and supporting day-to-day location operations, you'll gain a firsthand understanding of how essential operations are to CVA and the producers we serve.
