Pay rate is $25/hour for undergraduate student (Must be a rising junior or senior at an accredited college or university with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029)
Full-time; 37.5 hours per week
Based in Washington, DC, with an expectation to work onsite at least two days per week.
ABA’s Internship provides students with a paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. This extremely selective opportunity provides students with the opportunity to do substantial work in various divisions across ABA, connect with leadership, build a network, and make a difference.
Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll help identify potential companies that might benefit from our Partner Network membership, research banking industry events, and analyze the benefits that association members receive. You’ll also play a key role in supporting sales efforts for sponsorships and exhibits at industry events, ensuring partners and exhibitors see the value of working with us.
Your responsibilities will include:
Business development support for the Partner Network team.
Market Research: Identifying potential new partners, sponsors, and exhibitors while tracking industry trends.
Membership Analysis: Evaluating the benefits of Partner Network membership and helping improve offerings.
Sales Support: Assisting the team in outreach efforts to potential members, sponsors, and exhibitors.
Lead Generation: Conducting lead searches to identify potential companies for recruitment.
Event & Competitor Research: Finding out which industry events key banking companies attend and how they engage with associations. Performing competitor analysis (exhibit pricing, sponsorships package/pricing, exhibit hall models).
